We phoned Mike (number kindly provided by motorhome medics) late morning with an electrical fault on our Cougar 32 RLI. It was Mike's day off for his birthday! However, he stayed on the phone to talk us through for about half an hour. The guys from the site had very helpfully (over nearly 2 hours) proven it was a fault with the van, not the site, but we could not bottom out the problem. At 1400 Mike and his lovely family turned up having driven from Witney to Cheltenham!! Mike stayed for nearly an hour, testing the 12V, 110V, and 240V. He persevered, and diagnosed a short in the 120V water heater. He rendered it safe, and bingo we had electricity without blowing the site breaker. What a guy. I am an aircraft engineer, but his knowledge of RV's and their systems was magic. he is coming back to change the element and cathode shortly. Thanks from the heart Mike, we were told there was nobody within 100 miles who would come out in an emergency - now we know there is!!!!
